Equal parts self-aggrandising, self-referential and self-conscious, this is a page dedicated to my life, work, family, friends and the things that make me go mmm...

Missionary Position

Whilst I have every intention of avoiding too much diarising drivel, this site will be cataloguing my life, words and opinions (and those of people around me), so it's apt that I should start off with a little something about myself. A mission statement, of sorts.

I am a 25-year-old guy living in Sydney. A writer by trade, I'm currently straddling the fine line between reportage and advertorial while writing stories about men's underwear, interviewing innumerable porn stars and nursing a budding case of body dysmorphia for Australia's best-selling fagazine. I'm also completing an MA in Creative Writing and trying to maintain some semblance of a relationship with my family, friends and boyfriend.

After deciding that my online contact should extend beyond Googling my own name, compulsively checking my email and looking up the true meaning of things like anti-Semitism and Munchausen syndrome on Wikipedia, as well as making an effort to overcome the crippling creative procrastination that troubles me daily, I'm making this blog a place where my brain can come to play, judge, freeze and offload.

So, do come along for the ride; after all, the only way is up, baby.
